Homeless for the Homeless 2009 begins on Friday November 6 with a sleep out at Hope Plaza on the corner of Main and Calhoun as a demonstration of our support for the homeless community. On Saturday November 7 we are inviting area service providers, community leaders, churches, the homeless, and the community at large to join us for a community wide event to educate and challenge our city to Shut Down the Streets by bringing an end to homelessness in Columbia. We invite you to participate in this event and join us in seeking change in our city.
